Great day and an excellent evening. Many thanks to Col for organising and for the free night he managed to wangle out of the marina! We headed West today after the best post-night out breakfast ever -- tks Chris!! Look forward to seeing you all in Cherbourg in three weeks time.

Ditto! Fab pub and crowd at ECM. Shame we arrived hours and hours late but great to put faces to names after all these years.

See you all in Cherbourg in a few weeks :)

(And please see my post in the PBO forum titled 'Jabsco Toilet Nightmare'...) :)

Echo the thanks above and especially Colin who not only organised it but went the extra mile to take all the food orders from everyone in the pub as well.

Roll on Cherbourg.

Thank you to everyone for making it a really nice chilled out couple of days and to the weather for holding out just long enough for us to get back to Poole in the dry.
Always nice to put faces to names and as usual at these events the friendliness of and welcoming nature of all who turn up.
Where and when next?

Perhaps in fairness we should consider an alternating east and west of the Solent location in succeeding years to give everyone a local do and the rest have to travel a bit.

Good idjea! Also, I'd like to add my own thanks to Col for the organising.

The Squeaker and I used our freebie to stay another night and left on Monday morning after the rain finished. Cracking sail back to the Hamble - then, reaching just outside the Thorn Channel, as I was down below putting the pasties into the oven with the Squeaker on watch, he suddenly called down: "Dad! There's a guy outside who wants to talk to you!" Turned out to be Pete in The Contraption, with his mother ship moored nearby ready for the Brambles cricket match...
