Bandsaw in Falmouth Area?

I have been given a beam of reclaimed Iroko measuring 6" x 6" x 7' long. I was hoping to take a slice (16mm deep?) off it that I can use to make up some trims for my cave lockers and a piece for the front face of the sliding hatch.

It's too big a job for a hand-held circular saw. Does anyone know where I could get a slice taken off it in the Falmouth area?
 
When I had to cut a piece of mahogany to make a tiller, a friend did the long, straight cuts with a good quality hand-saw. A hand saw will tend to cut straight, and for a one-off job it (in the hands of an experienced wood-worker) did an excellent job.

I am sure if you ask Rustler Yachts very nicely they will be able to help you. Might cost you a beer. Ask for Adrian Jones and tell him I sent you. That will either help or get you thrown out!
 
Just end for end it on site with circ saw then finish the unsawn middle bit with a throwaway hard point saw.. And power plane off any discrepancies..
Btw I managed to find a cabinetmaker in Sussex with a 14inch throated bandsaw to slice the 4 inch x 20 x48 lump of quartersawn teak that I turned into proper pushpit seats...and some useful facing pieces as per your idea. Wouldn't want to cut that lot by hand.. !
