I've scratched my head over this one. I could use some advice from someone with more knowledge.
My boat has twin TAMD41B and two batteries- one domestic one engines.
Each battery has an isolator switch.
When both switches are 'off'
Port ignition switch is turned, nothing happens -as you would expect.
Starboard ignition switch is turned and it responds -alarm, indicator lights, starter solenoid click (but no starter).
When the 'engines' battery switch is put 'on' both starter controls seem normal
Any ideas please!

I recon the Starboard engine is picking up a low voltage feed from some of the other wiring. Likely with not enough voltage to actually operate the starter that will require a large strong connection

Starboard engine controls has feed from battery side of the isolator switch. but starter motor power feeds is from switched side of isolator. Or stater has been moved to port battery, but control panel feed has been split off and left on starboard battery and feed crossed at isolator.

I'll try and track it down from that helpful suggestion. Thanks

I'm no wiring expert, but auto bilge pumps are always (or should be) wired in with a permanent feed regardless if batteries switched off... maybe have a look if bilge pump wiring linked to anything else, or anything be spurred off from it... just an thought.
