With all the news on TV lately about the extreme weather conditions affecting the East Coast of the US, the mud slides in the Middle East and South America, Floods along the Zambezi delta killing hundereds and misplacing thousands of people.
Along with the dire predictions made by such films as 'The Day After Tomorrow', we shouldn't forget that England has its share of devastating weather too. Look at this photo illustrating the damage caused to a friend's home from the storm that passed through Southern England the other night.here
It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.
God bless us all.

Thats horrific. I really had my doubts about the global warming doom mongers until I saw this dramatic photo. We should all be worried. Heaven help our children

Gosh!!/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif He must be devastated. Just shows the indiscriminate callousness of mother nature.

I know it's not going to be of any consolation but tell your friend to click HERE for an explanation to the current diabolical weather we are experiencing./forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Was anybody hospitalised as a result of the awful damage and destruction?
My very best wishes to those involved if so.

Is it covered by the house insurance or is it seen as an act of God?

I was going to mention that "killing hundreds and misplacing thousands" should have read "displacing" but on reflection I prefer misplacing
