i'm back offshore, after an interesting few days in Stavanger! I did get a little inebriated, twice, but thats not bad for me! Pear cider will catch up with you very quickly, it's very sneaky, attacks from the legs up! The girls were very accomodating aswell! So it's back to Ekofisk until 20th, then back to the sun! I missed the Barcelona boat show, anybody here go to it? What was it like?

Should be passing you on Ekofisk at around 18:30 local time this evening. Heading 295 deg. Speed +11 kts. Destination Conoco Banff - Sedco 711 - Vessel M/V Skandi Fjord - Halliburton Stimulation Vessel.

Would wave, but it will be dark........

Good

Colin, it is so good to hear from a real gentleman (to be quite honest I'm not sure if some of the men on this forum are real men or not!) I also like a liitle bit of pear wine, it makes my head go all fizzy. Have you tried Babycham and Guinness? An old boyfriend of mine used to try and get me drunk on that I'm sure but I kept on slipping Napoleon Mandarin into his Irn Bru's so he fell asleep first!
I went to Norway once on the way to see Santa Claus, I was on my way to an interview as a an elf. I really wanted to be Santa's little helper.

I'm getting a little worried as I've not heard from Coliholic and he had promised to help me decorate my boat. I was going to put cork tiles on the cabin sole and some Christmas lights on an Xmas Tree at the top of the mast, Do you think that would be an effective Radar reflector. I've met a nice new man called Paul (even though he walks a bit funny) who seems to have lots of money, I'll keep you posted!

Jemmie

I knock off at 19:00, so I'll wave anyway! It must be Conoco-Phillips now! As we are! I've only got a short trip this time, just till next wednesday, the 20th. Looking forward to getting back to Spain. What do you do onboard, do you work in the actual stimulation dept?

umm no *blush* specially as my wife sometimes reads this - I should add I lived in Norway and visited Stavanger long before she and I met, but I don't like to rock the boat.

Besides which its her birthday tomorrow - she's already had a rather nice pair of boots from me and a new car stereo.

Do you think a Sterling 40 amp battery charger would make an appropriate present for her, or should I nip down to Marks and Sparks and pick up something frilly?

I already tried to give her the calorifier - logically, since she will use much more hot water than I will, but she wasn't impressed... strange really.

However she was thrilled with the mitre saw and asked for a proper saw table - no space for that though.

Opinions are welcome.
