After 20 years of boating and the last 10 years sailing I have returned to the fold! I love boats be they sail or power, in an ideal world I would have both but for now I am just looking forward to an easy life on the water on my soon to be acquired Maxum 2500 with it's lovely big social cockpit which is something you just don't get on a yacht and I miss it!

For me boating in the UK has always been a juggling act between the weather and my free time and getting them synchronised has never been easy. SO, I have retired, bought a boat in the Algarve and will be moving out there for good! If I don't manage any regular boating after all that I might as well give up!

Love boats, Love life!

Congratulations - we’ve done the same, retired this year and moved to the Algarve with our new boat arriving in Vilamoura in December.
Where will you keep the Maxum?

Best regards

Sounds like a good plan, have fun!

Great to hear from you! We will be keeping her in Albuferia!
Don't believe all the hype about retiring in the sun, with just lazy days, boating, fine dining, long walks on beaches, watching the sunset with a G n T, swimming in your garden pool always at 30 degrees. It's way better than that! Have fun

Oh dear, I hadn't even given that a thought! You've got me thinking now!
