Moved from Portugal to Ballearics, dragged anchor all over the ballearics, left enough furrows to plant 4 tons of underwater potatoes. hit by a german in a storm whilst anchored. Hit another boat damaged his toerail in another storm whilst dragging and trying to extracate myself from a very narrow cala full of boats, got pissed numerous times, worst summer in 80 years, (just my luck) met TCM + SWMBO, Sailbadthesinner + Intended SWMBO, Stewart + Girlfriend, Didn't find any new girlfriends, now safely tucked up in barcelona, so my summer was fairly eventful. Sorry to here about loss of Swede, but very careless of you, where did you lose her? I might have a look for you! Now looking for GIANT anchor! Nice to hear from you again!

Nobody mentioned that anchoring tip to me, the bas...ds! I'm going to make either a northill or a brittany type copy, but heavy, 110lbs! May make both! My 112lb halls pattern (admiralty ship type) is just not the anchor for this bluidy weed! Need big, sharp flukes! and pull it in with both engines, I'll bury the swine all right! Pity about the 24x7 internet, but swedes can be replaced! Keep yer' chin up bruv!/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Thats because I was not the skipper .YOu have come to know the magic 44 is the best boat, and you are envious that you were gulable enough to buy a gib sea!!!

Just a thought, Billskip. Seeing as Bob lives in Banchory, I don't suppose you used to live in Aberdeen, did you? I used to know a Bill Skip up there years ago.
