Our 9 week old daughter is going to experience life on board for the first time in a couple of weeks. We need to choose a baby life jacket - does anyone have any views on which is the best make? Many thanks

Hi,
Firstly congratualtions on the birth of your new baby daughter.
Following reccomendations from sailing friends Mum bought a life jacket from Amazon for about £30 (They are also sold directly on something like www.lifejackets.com). Baby was four months old when he first used it and the lifejacket appears to fit fine but was tight around the head which concerned us a little bit and so needed care when putting hum in it.

My son is now 3 to test his life jacket I threw him in the public swimming pool. Got loads of strange looks, but If you are not confident in doing that, then the jacket is no good.
Yes this is a test after you have parted with your money. But you may be able to return it if not happy.
