B & G Network Quad instuments

My Brookes & Gatehouse Quad instrument has suffered water damage and is partially malfunctioning. It is part of a set of three - Network Quad, Network Wind and Network Pilot. Can anyone tell me if I can simply replace the Quad with a Network Data instrument which I have located. Alternatively, does anyone have a spare Quad sitting on a shelf, or about to replace their Network system with something new. I am happy to pay a reasonable second-hand value to keep my system (which has performed well for many years) going for a while longer.

You might like to check, but I didn't think that the Data instrument had any provision for speed/depth transducer inputs.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have B & G printout which shows the Network Data instrument will display virtually everything, including speed and depth.

Yes, it will. But where's it going to get the speed and depth info from? You said you have Quad, Wind and Pilot instruments. Which one are your speed and depth sensors connected to?

Have you contacted B&G. Their repair service is first class and not over expensive. They still do repairs on the Network Quad instruments.

'The Network DATA unit is a repeater of available networked
information supplied from other Network Instruments via the
system network.'

'It has no sensor interfaces as all data is passed to the unit via
the system network cables.'

The QUAD unit has two network connections plus two additional sockets to connect the sensors. The Data display only has the network connections.

You need to have your QUAD repaired or find another.

NB not a QUAD Repeater. You need to be able to connect your sensors.

You may like to try John Holmes for a secondhand unit.

You could usefully speak to Tinley Electronics, they can repair most B+G stuff, even water damaged. They might have spare units too.
