On the verge of ordering a new Raymarine Axiom + 9 chart plotter with their Lighthouse offering as the charting data rather than Navionics or C Map does anyone have any experience of the Lighthouse chartware ? I have seen the plotter with Navionics and C Map on it interested to know what differences there are.

I've got an Axiom + 12 which I bought with Lighthouse charts. I haven't got a C Map to compare directly with, but I'm very happy with the Lighthouse charts. A slight cock up/confusion with Raymarine regarding the premium subscription - but the charts themselves are good, I find.

I have the Imray lighthouse charts on my Raymarine, and actually prefer them to the Navionics charts.
Good point - not sure what Navionics looks like on a Raymarine plotter, but if it's the same as on an iPad, I prefer the Lighthouse to Navionics. Seems cleaner.

Premium subscription is that worth going for ? no idea on cost, it is going to be a bit of a step up from a tablet with charts on there which normally runs out just as your getting towards the end of the day and about to enter a new harbouro_O

Edit I see the premium is £45 p/y which includes updates

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the subscription. Just re-buy every few years.

I have been finding the Lighhouse charts on my Axiom+ rather slow to refresh/redraw - a problem that Raymarine have acknowledged. They say that there is software revision coming that will improve this but I think the update that came out earlier this week was aimed at other issues?

We recently bought all to compare, advantage of a big company! Cmap charts are certainly the most complete and accurate in our region, which is sw of England.
