I am intending making a wood floor for my Avon Redstart.

Please could somebody advice me what thickness of the marine ply I should use ?

Hopefully one of you may have done this in the past.

Thanking you in advance for this

My Avon is a Redcrest, so slightly longer. The floorboards are separate strips athwartships, which are held in place in a PVC contraption. Having had the original strips break, I now just use similar size ordinary soft wood, approx 6" x 1/2", treated with a water-based wood stain. They are lighter than the originals. Way back, I had a Redcrest with an 8mm plywood floor, which was very heavy and awkward to install.
The strips stay in place when the dinghy is rolled up to go into the car.

I've a Redcrest, with both a rigid and a roll-up floor. Both are 10mm thick.
The rigid floor is held together by plastic strips of "H" cross-section, so matching the thickness of floor to strip is useful.
If I were making one, I'd consider good quality exterior ply rather than full-blown marine, to save a bit of cash.
