i recently bought a redcrest but the floor has a couple or three leaks can i get the materiel and put a new floor on it before i put a wooden floor in?

Normally people would patch the holes rather than attempt to replace the floor. Although I still have one of my Avons, I am a bit out of touch with the materials but repair kits still seem to be available. You just need to get one for the right compounds.

Welcome to the forum

Expensive and not really a DIY job. I was trained to do it in my youth but don't think I would tackle it now. However easy to repair with patches source of materials and advice here polymarine.com

My Redcrest / Redstart .... never remember which it is !!

Has patches on the floor ... I've even peeled of old patches and applied new.

Small holes - you can actually use a bicycle puncture repair outfit as temporary till you have the time etc. to do it properly ...

This is what I used ...

DK GREY HYPALON FABRIC Inflatable Boat Repair Kit Patch 2 Part Bostk 2402 Glue | eBay

As regards 'floor' ...... I have the original slats and Hypalon sleeves - folds up ... but I find not very stable ... so previous owner had created plywood floor in two pieces. Its a real pain to get in place - it needs to be inserted into so its set into the floor to side tubes seams which means when slightly inflated ... its heavy as its 8mm ply and is about 95% of the floor area. BUT it makes the Avon literally an unsinkable hard dinghy ...

The plain plywood shown laying on top of the half floor is one of the original slats.

As others have said no need to replace the floor, just patch the holes; repair kits are available from the likes of Polymarine/IBS/etc or even on popular internet auction sites. Like a well-made pair of shoes the repairs just add character.
