Had a couple of days in the Yealm , but ran out of gaz so nipped into Plymouth , got into QAB marina as the wind topped at 28 knots , so payed for a overnight but was planning on dropping the hook somewhere but with the breeze continuing tomorrow not sure where to go , I need to flubber ashore 3 times a day for the mutt so nowhere muddy, any ideas ?

I've seen yachts anchored just west of the Rame, tucked in close.
All the 'proper' beaches are no dogs this time of year AFAIK, which cuts out a lot of options.

I don't know the Tamar all that well, but a lot of it muddy and not many options for anchoring and getting ashore?

Fowey is probably favourite.
