i bought a westerly earlier in the year and it came with an autohelm 800. ive decided to take it out of its box and i seem to be missing the deck fitting point. the 12v sockett and the tiller pin are fitted but i have no hole to slot the autohelm pin in. does anyone know where i can get a spare?? or suggestions on how to make one myself?!!

thanks!

Or you find that plumbing supplies do a small bore hose connector with screw thread ....

My AH800 and AH1000 need raising up from bench height to suit tiller, this is done by a round solid alloy bar drilled to suit the tillerpilot pin, other end threaded to screw into a base plate fitted to bench. You can but from Raymarine or get one made ...

You can also down load a manual if you do not have one but use www.raymarine.co.uk rather than the link Philip gave.

There were several versions of the AH800. The first had a round knob with a compass rose on it. It is now known as the 800 Analog. the nextone with round buttons is the 800 Micro. the third one with square buttons is just known as 800.

The mounting socket is just a plain socket with a bit of a rim around the top that could easily be turned on a small lathe but you may need one of the cantilever or pedestal mounts (and possibly a pushrod extension).

AFAIK the fittings have not changed over the years!

Invaluable bit of kit. I still use one of the original AH 1000 (analog) ones.
