Sometime recently the Perrymns built an Oughtred dinghy for Siandra.
Can anyone remember which issues of CB the build was covered in?
I know you can buy an index for a tenner but I object to having to pay for an index having already paid for the mag.

Must just answer that comment on our Index... I am sorry about the cost of this semi telephone-book like tome. It is compiled (by a freelancer) each year with hundreds and hundreds of new references and it's now more than 120 pages long. We have to bind it by hand - ie each Index is printed on our laser printer and made in the office and we don't sell thousands. We think 21 years of cross-referenced work in one alphabetical/chronological list is a great thing to offer readers - in fact I think it's pretty unique to any magazine these days but obviously there's a cost and we need to defray that. We have thought of digitising it, and having it available online or somesuch. But every person I have met about this, while initially positive, once I've shown them the sheer weight of it, has walked quickly in the other direction – cross-referencing digitally would be a full-time eye-bending job for someone, for quite some time. Economies of scale take over, but apologies about that cost again.

Like Nicky, I think that it is a wonderful facility. As my collection goes back to issue No. 2, I would love one. Only the rate of exchange between the Pound and the Pacific Peso [Australian Dollar] (multiply the pounds by 2.5 and don't forget the postage!) slows me down a bit. Must email Annette to find out the postage cost to the far ends of the earth. I'll still get one though.
