Attempt by our Committee to change the Club rules without notifying the members

So without hearing anything from the club, what gives you cause to call them Numpties? I thought your post was very well balanced until the end.

Obviously an outboard that was grossly over sized that made a boat unusable as it obstructed the tiller would certainly make the person who tried fitting that as a numpty. This same numpty I believe is the commodore of the same club that threw out NickC. So the term is correctly used in my opinion, but you seem to disagree.

No I don't disagree. I don't have enough evidence to form an opinion as to the status of the club or it's members. As happens all over this thread, a question was asked and you made up your own mind about my motivation for asking it. Now keep the theme of motivation going; what I have been trying to get to is the motivation behind these actions.
Someone didn't just get out of bed one day and think, "Right, I think I'll put a stupidly big outboard ...." etc. Take all the actions that NickC claims to have let go and ask why the hell people would do all those things to just one person. It just doesn't add up. Unless something has corrupted over 100 people. I just wondered why NickC seems to be so very unpopular with so many people.
I've had a personal insult from him on this thread and a follow up taunt, but that's just here on this forum. What if you were a regular at the club and had a run-in with him, do you think he would let it go?

well you certainly have plenty to say, not one to hide your feelings, I think you put 4-5 posts on within 70 mins today, it rather seams you cant let it go yourself actually.

I'll not post again as long as I am not mentioned or hinted at in any future post. I actually think I have said enough for intelligent people to work out that I am highlighting thought on the real root of this debacle; stuff which none of us know the truth about. I will not be easily lead up the garden path as others clearly have been.

So this could be my last post here. Let's see if NickC or Puggy or Kev can let it go at that?

No, my idea was just to try and stop being rude and confrontational, or provoking individuals. regardless if nickC is right or wrong, why wind the chap up further. Other than that its an interesting topic. It is quite possible to put an argument forward or debate something, without acting like thugs all the time quite frankly.

Just visited the sailing club's Facebook page to see if I could suggest that someone from the club comes on here so we can engage in civilised debate rolleyes with them but its a "closed group" so only members can actually read or post anything.

Not from me they haven't, no false rumours please.

Don't think I have ever posted on there as far as I can remember. Although they have had interesting discussion with current members (related to the 'FREE NIK' signboard) which is why they made it a closed group, they think that stops me being able to see what is going on there.

However, this does give me an idea about posting some of this on Facebook, good suggestion.

This everybody, is further provocative behaviour from this NickC character. Is this bullying? I'm not bothered if it is but all you who have had a go at me are now invited to comment on this part of Nick's behaviour. Tell me how you justify supporting this person. See what he does with your support?

What about the Committee making certain vague accusations in letter 1 (letter of intended expulsion) then changing the reason for the expulsion to something completely different in letter 2 (letter of confirmed expulsion ) does that show a 'mature attitude'?

For those interested; the correspondence, pictures, evidence etc. behind these issues is now available on a website. Publishing details here would almost certainly get the thread pulled again so PM me for the URL. Some of it’s almost quite entertaining.

Hopefully all anonymised but if you spot anything identifiable which should have been removed please let me know by PM and I’ll fix immediately.

For those who do not want to read the full details, that’s fine but please do not post disparaging remarks without understanding the full story.
