In the interests of my learning curve could I please be enlightened as to whether the extraordinary cloud formation over the mouth of the Crouch on Sunday morning was the top of a fog bank or something else?

if it was that extraordinary yellow colour of the Thames/London cloud on Saturday, I think it was just pent up pollution concentrate, same as when I descend into places like Cologne,Milan and Turin. Orrible.
