I was at sea yesterday with a student doing an Intermediate PB course, we were in Ocean Pirate which took part in the 2008 Round Britain Race.
Sea conditions were good but the sky looked threatening, once clear of the South Holm the sun came out and it was glorious, but the radar was showing snow storms coming from the north east, sure enough, 3 miles NE of the S Holm a complete white out lasting for perhaps 10 minutes, then sunshine again, and so it went on, one second zero visibility and then 3 miles viz. Incredible weather, but by christ it was cold.
Student got a little disoriantated, but I think he was more overawed by what was going on than the weather, but he passed, so all was good.
