Our beloved boat is back in the water having had the gears and bearings done, two new props and two refurbished.

We had a run down to Windsor today, didn't stay long, had lunch then back to the marina.

I am now unliked due to announcing the boat needs a good clean and polish tomorrow... :D

The rest of the week... Hope the sun stays out..

Not happy. At LHR all day, which is in no way boat related :(

Awwww poor you... If it any consolation, hubby has the 'lurgey' so the kids and I spent the day cleaning the boat.

As we are just so lucky right now, we managed to break the pressure washer!

Had a lovely time in the sun though.

Lovely run up to Bray lock and then to Windsor with the in laws who are over from Sweden yesterday.

Today five hour cleaning session on the boat! I saw everyone else going out for fun and we were the idiots on I pontoon at Windsor marina with the power washer :). The boat looks good now and I can't wait for next weekend when we are going on a proper trip!!

Honeymommy are you the Sealine Statesman on J pontoon?

Summer can stay now!

That is our baby yes. Not as clean as we would have liked though. Off to buy a new pressure washer tomorrow. :) Will have to look out for your shiny finish tomorrow. :)

Son is now at home with the tender outboard fixed to the solid teak patio chair sitting in my new coolbox having filled with water after cleaning the carbouretta (however you spell it). Now testing it out. The cool box will not survive.

Not a happy Honeymommy.

Should have insisted we cleaned the boat by hand...

I love my kids and should be proud they are taking an interest and learning new skills... But..........

That's not a tub, thats my Wife Madam!

Your gonna be in big trouble again!! I'm suprised she hasn't stabbed you in your sleep with all the comments you come out with...

:):):)

Uh oh smell of petrol coming in from the garden... Not a problem but I am at the front of the house.!!!!

Your just jealous our boat is shiny, unlike your old tub. :p

Tut, tut - not nice...
It's very difficult to make an humorous rejoinder without touching a raw nerve (even if you think it deserve it).
Methinks we've lost the ability to make a witty and funny return that even the perpetrator would find funny!

Honour is satisfied, party1 happy, party2 happy also; everyone goes on teir way without rancour.

Bluddy difficult if "one" is sitting at a keyboard, nearly impossible if thimbing things on a mobile i-something-or-other.

Not preaching, but pleasant banter so often descends into hostility and removes the fun for all watchers.

Love you all.

Now, lovely lady (and family) are you boating up to the never reaches near Hurley soon. I'm felltling my bit of tin Monday / Tuesday but could be persuaded to stay in order to show what a real marina's like...

Lordy, lordy, haven't you got a LA wheely bin (empty), that's what most folks use...

In fairness, the 'Old Tub' was the winning boat in the last Bray Concours D'Elegance.

I suspect I spent more hours polishing it than your Hour-meter shows this year :D

Is that for No Regrets wife to stuff him in, or my son to use for the outboard? :D

As I said to son... Had he asked us first... We would have found something suitable so he didn't use the new coolbox..

I have calmed down now, and will be docking his university allowance appropriately... 'Evil grin' :D

c'mon - it's the way that it is!
In your youth, did you ever ask your loving parents before you embarked opn a dodgy enterprise??
I didn't
To them, your brain works incredibly slowly / or the answer is "NO"

Bummer

It's life

Thank god we don't have kids.....

Your boat looks lovely as you well know. :)

True Blue makes a good point.. Noone on here knows that we know each other outside of this internet world and therefore throw comments out for effect, that must seem awful to some, but humerous to us.

Now.. Be nice with your wife comments in future... LOL
