Ashore for a week

Beguine was lifted out today at the third time of asking (too windy, broken crane) ready for salt blasting and Copper Coat.
Should only be a week but we'll be missing this great weather when I'd planned to get away for a couple of days.
On the other hand we've been sailing whilst many others seem to have still been fitting out. How many forumites are still ashore?

Havn't been out yet. May not till the winter now. In past years I have found June a good time to come out as sailing time for me seems to be limited, and it is usually much easier to get work done with the slightly warmer temperatures.

Are you getting that done at Chatham? I would be interested to hear how that goes, and what sort of money it is. Do they need to do any hull drying before the copper coat goes on? Any chance of some photos?

Marmalade also out - in dog house as SWMBO hadn't realised and had made plans to go sailing. Humble pie on menu.

So there is no existing epoxy coating? What year is she?

Still ashore, sadly, and summer holiday cruise planned to start in a couple of weeks cancelled for this and other reasons. You can expect balmy weather for the next few weeks, then sudden early onset of winter!

Now coated. They will re-chock Tuesday to get at the areas missed under the keel and paint in the boot top.

Thanks I've a full copy of the review. They liked it!
She spent 5 years in Spain after that before returning to the South Coast for a very major refit (I've got the receipts). No sign of where the Aries was fitted today. I've had her since 2010.
I'm sure they've just blasted off the best part of 20 years' antifouling.

Still ashore! so much for a week!

The weather has held up proceedings. Coppercoat went on last week but they've had to wait until today for weather to repaint the boot top and patch the areas under the keel where the chocks were. Can't get a launch until Thursday.

Doesn't look as if I've missed too much though.
