Sad to hear of the death last week of Arthur Vanson who many will know as a relief lockie on the Temple-Windsor stretch.

Could never connect names with people, so thanks to Watson.

He always seemed to be wearing a pair of baggy pants with a dodgy zip - The Management often commented on them.
Always great for a conversation about boating, EA, everything.
We moved upstream for moorings and lost contact.

Arthur was an extremely talented man, who left evidence of his sign-writing at most Thames locks...

Arthur Vanson; A Fabulous Gentleman

Arthur was a wonderful human being who never had a bad word to say about anyone; he will be very sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Could never connect names with people, so thanks to Watson.
