Arrghh!! Rugby!

YEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

What an incredible, amazing match!

I'm quite literally shaking, and soaked in sweat. Edge of seat doesn't even begin to describe it

EEEEEEEEEEEEEUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching Scotland - Italy will calm you down again ... perhaps to the point of coma.

Re: YEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Actually I wouldn't have minded if we'd lost narrowly in such a cracking game - well I would, but not for long. That's what rugby is all about - superb entertainment - well done both teams.

Re: Need that game on DVD

My Seattle based brother would appreciate a recording of that fixture, anyone know if I can pull it off a web site?

Some rugby is available on the US channels but the presenters are generic sports commentators and there is no pre match build because they switch straight from ads to the kick off.

Re: Need that game on DVD

My son, in LA, watched it on a french TV channel and listened to the commentary from BBC Wales. The latter was apparently 5 secs. behind the pictures. You would have thought that it might have been available on a french speaking channel in Canada.

Re: Vintage

It will be remembered as a classic match surely?

Think the game of rugby in general is more entertaining than 20 years ago or maybe I can read the play better. Sometimes in the chaotic phases of play I get the impression that rugby union flows like rugby league with quick recycling and speculative runs at the opposition, have modern rules done that?

Re: Vintage

It's partly down to rules encouraging more flowing play, but also to the new professional status of the sport. This match was more down to just having two teams who can play that style of game, than to the rules though. Wales went on full of confidence of several good games in a row, and a few wins. France gained early confidence from two tries, and that encouraged a flowing game - France can be very patchy in the quality of their game, but always play this wonderful attacking fluid game if they click.

Having said that, while this will be remembered as a classic match, watching some old games from the 70's would probably suprise you with the flow and entertainment

Having sat through 80 minutes of pure hell watching that travesty between Italy and Scotland,it was a relief to see that rugby union is still alive and well at international level, all be it not at Murrayfield.

You can't root for England with a name like Brendan you traitorous celt!

Anyway a Grand Slam decider between Wales and Ireland on the final weekend is just a fantastic prospect! We can start reminding the arrogant gits in white of their talk a few seasons ago about a two tier championship!
