No filter mask is going to effectively reduce your exposure to the solvents in the glue. Use a forced air mask or just do it on a windy day with every hatch open like wot i did. P.S. Don't smoke...
Hawke House sell a cream coloured self adhesive ribbed carpet type lining, used it in some lockers on to grp hull and plywood and, 10 years later, it's stuck like the proverbial to a blanket. http://www.hawkehouse.co.uk/linings/self-adhesive-linings/p80-cream-self-adhesive-carpet-lining.html
Carpet or other material linings aren't sutable for use on a boat IMHO.
I have had 2 boats with carpet linings and they have both got stained and mouldy.
The light coloured one looked nicest but suffered worst and looked shabby quickest.
The forecabin of my Centaur is quite dark but still shows the black mould.
When I eventually replace my foam backed lining I will do it with vinyl or some similar wipe clean washable material, but not foam backed.
