Gosport Boat Yard also had increase .... Still, probably the cheapest moorings in Solent, with really good and helpful service.

I just wonder what will happen when Alan decides to retire. I suspect Premier will buy the yard and the prices of the moorings will double.

I suspect that some people will have their boats in South coast marinas for the convenience of access, both to the marina from home and to the South coast cruising grounds from the marina. If cost outweighs convenience then maybe some will relocate their cruising grounds. Of course, all cruising grounds are connected by the big wet stuff anyway.

I get the pressures on marinas, energy & staff etc (its at least easy to see)

Kudos to Hamble Harbour authority who limited their part of my bill to 1%, but our Monarch added 5% to my Crown Estate fee and I'm not really sure there have been real or genuine inflationary pressures on costs of the mud under my berth!

Well, the Crown has been exposed to a lot more mud these days, I guess it all has to be paid for. (-;

My 9.8m berth in Chatham MDL has increased from £3773.29 in 2022 to £4005.95, a £232.66 increase or 6.1% rise. This is for full payment as a Freedom Berth Holder. Their Otium scheme is slightly more expensive, with in my opinion less benefits to me.

Who’s Alan? Chris was the owner when we were there.
