You would think if they are making programmes for 10 year olds they would run it in the afternoon with Blue Peter.

I am also scared of Gordon Brown. Mind you John Presscot as well.

I am sure there is more.

Did you watch the acompanying documentry afterwards? I dont think it was dumbing down at all. Even if it was, what do you expect this country is full of dumb people, just look at the amount of people that actually vote on things like Big Brother etc, its quite sad. I actually thought the programme was well made for what it was trying to achieve, I am looking forward to the second part this evening.

I actually only watched the documentary. It had so many holes it was like steal wool.
What was it trying to achieve should we employ 10000 little dutch boys to put their fingers in the holes (volcanic ones this time). At the end on the documentry they ask the people who actually monitor the bloody thing in yelowstone park and they deny all of the crap the BBC has been sprouting all evening.

1/2nd half tonight, think we will find out more. I am not sure that the people monitoring denied that it could happen, more just saying no need to panic just yet it could happen one day.

We know the sun will go out one day. I will die one day. I am going home now hope I make it. Anyone know of any volcanos in the north east of england

No volcanos up there but lots of roads. You have much more chance of being killed on the road on your way home.

The movie is realistic insofar as depicting what could happen if an eruption of this magnitude were to occur again. Although the drama is set in the future, it does an acceptable job of addressing some of the issues scientists would grapple with if Yellowstone showed signs of an impending eruption
