It is sort of inevitable that the leader of either the UK government or a UK opposition party will come from one of the UK's constituent countries. It may or may not be the one that you come from. If it is not, you may or may not like it - or even care. If you really cannot bear the possibility that someone from another bit might be in charge, then your only real option to eliminate this is to campaign for the removal of your bit from the UK.
(FWIW and IMHO the English have it pretty easy. Try to understand how most Scots felt while Maggie was in charge...)
