That's no way to speak of Jolie Brise, I thought she was quite nice.

She was in a former life, a "Pilot Cutter"

Hi all

Does anyone know anywhere in suffolk or near to that I can moor a 50' barge-like boat I am thinking of converting into a live aboard? it needs to be dirt cheap and I am not averse to roughing it a bit. Loosing my job and house not long ago has propelled me into what I hope is a change of lifestyle for the better

Best regards

martin

Hi Martin

You have posted on a fourteen month old thread.

You may get a better response if you start your own thread either here or on East Coast Meeting Forum (which is not just about meetings).

Good luck.

REYC Medway, we have swingers available for about £500 as a previous poster says. PM if you want contact details as we shall be allocating this years moorings soon.

I was recently quoted $1300 per year for a slip for a 26' boat at a marina where I used to keep a sailboat. The marina is well-protected, yet has a relatively short channel to open water. I never touched bottom with 4' of draft regardless of the state of tide.

Oh wait, you are talking about the east coast of Great Britain. I'm on a different east coast.

I have about 12 spaces in st lawrence bay on the river blackwater
rental is - wait for it---£115-00 per annum for the site
Boats up to 30 ft swinging moorings all deep water. Sailing season only
There are quite high set up cost for the kit & placing plus a bit of maintenance cost, shackles etc
Either pm me or type --www.stlawrencefairwaycommittee.com in the address bar of internet explorer
I am developing a web site & it will take a while but you may be able to get the details & all the requirements et

An easy mistake to make!
