Looking to spend next week afloat and we fancy Butley Creek, Aldeburugh and the dinghy up to Snape. Anyone know if the Ore buoys are still in situ and if so when they are due to come out?

Bump - anyone know? Suggestions for a John White type person to call? I looked on Google Earth but couldn't tell.

Word is that Weir and Oxley are usually in position until end of November so you should be Ok. Usually repositioned for Easter weekend. Orford fishing boats in and out through winter. I came in last February (foggy) using a track on chart plotter. 90% of Orford bouys are vacant so take your pick. Still a good deal of boats afloat at Slaughden but rapidly vacating.
(Nearly did an overnighter up Butley myself this eve but settled for a fab day of decommissioning and cruising). Enjoy.
BTW Aldeburgh Yacht Club have been doing a Sunday Lunch that is well worth checking out, £10.50, lashings of Lamb or Chicken, pud, etc 01728 452562
Moorings opposite to Martello or use mine, just around the corner on the right No.34.
(it has always been acceptable to invite visitors to moorings here and, as mentioned before, I am interested in swaps within my region)
