Anyone know the history of the Aquabell boats? When were they were first constructed etc.

I understand the original design was by Robert Tucker.

AQUABELLS

This gives a brief reference to Aquabell in the last paragraph, http://www.moonraker.dk/english/about_moonraker/about_moonraker.htm I know they were built in Brundall in the 80's Ours is a Mediteranean 33, built in 1986, they are now built by Goodchild marine who I think are still in Brundal Norfolk or thereabouts. Cannot speak any higher re the build and sea keeping of ours, Brilliant boats.

Thanks for the link.

I heard somewhere that the original hull design was by Robert Tucker and it was a 27 foot. He then designed a 33' hull which became the Lochin 33.

The Aquabell 33's are an extended 27' and the 28' Aquabell are a shortened 33' from what I've heard.

I think when Goodchild started the construction the Aquabells they made slight alterations to the hull?

Would be curious to know where the designs for the characteristic wheelhouse came from.

Would be great to know a bit of the history. When they were first designed etc.

It would be good to learn a bit more about them, history wise but they seem to have just evolved, I cannot find an owners club or anything, all I know is they have always been built at Brundall, and now at Goodchild's, the latest work/fishing boat is called the Trojan, but the original 33 shape is still available. At the risk of upsetting any 27/28 owners these models are not as efficient as the 33, in that they are too beamy to produce any speed, not that the 33 is super fast unless it has 550 horses.
