In order for non scrupulous people (ie non-forumites) who use the tracking chips to track people (usually girls), Apple put a stalking mode in their tracking chip

My boat is due to be serviced today but notice the tag hasn’t moved. I’ll give it a day and give them a call if still no movement.
Dead handy little device and surprised that from its location (40M away from public) it usually finds an iphone and updates within an hour each time.
