Then you should be aware - VDI has the exact same challenges, it just costs more for the hardware. Zero touch means that you don't have to go and switch on the device, products such as SCCM do that for you and can do the build at night time. If you're really struggling with this I'd be happy to come and explain further?

I think we should, like the others, agree to disagree, I'm intrigued that you pay more for VDI hardware - that's one of the savings. There's a range of reasons - mostly compliance-related - that we simply cannot operate a zero-touch policy. Because they relate to risk and security I won't say what they are on an open forum but they common across the finance world.

The technology is the easy bit - it's the users, the politics and the fact that, every year we seem to pick up another bunch of networks to integrate. These are the real challenges.
