Starting to get frustrated! Got a problem with the 1gm10 where the revs seem to stagnate however much throttle you give it. Sometimes sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it dies. Changed all the fuel filters checked all the pipework. Only thing I could find was that the return line to the tank was weeping a bit by the engine but can't see how that would cause those symptoms. The system has been totaly bled but still gettting the same problem.

Anyone got any ideas?

Checked the air filter and that was ok, without taking bits apart I think the breather is ok, certainly getting lots of pressure through at the lift pump whenever I bleed off.

Check the exhaust elbow has not carboned up, this involves removing it and a visual inspection on both the elbow and the exhaust port itself.
They are renown for a restriction building up in the exhaust port.

Apart from the above, this can be caused by a hole in the diaphragm of the lift pump, or a possibly pinhole in a fuel line letting air in (although air in the system is usually obvious when you bleed it).
