Anyone want an MTU 1310hp, possibly a bargain?

I have the V8 of this engine and puts out IRO 770hp. I believe the V12 is IRO 1150hp
Different animal, M.
That engine is a TE72 series, meant for medium duty applications and indeed rated for 610kW (=829hp) @ 2100rpm.
The 1310hp mentioned is just completely wrong.

Your V8 belongs to the TE93 series, meant for low load applications (i.e., pleasure boats) and is rated for 564kW (=767hp) @ 2400rpm.
The V12 equivalent produced 846kW (=1175hp), also at 2400rpm.

LOL, I understood that you mixed up the front (where the water pumps could possibly be mistaken for turbos) with the back of the engine. :p

This type of engine in its 1100hp version was used in railway locomotives, A twin installation could pull a four hundred tonne train at 80mph obviously no slippage in the drive !
