okidoki - have received your pm and will post on Monday, hopefully you will on Tuesday. It's not the saving, but being able to have it in advance that I think is helpful.

well, kind of, but only if you have it in advance I think. Getting it on the day means you have to waste time looking through it to make the most of it. the map is hopeless. It's absolute madness not to make this stuff available in advance or online. However, we were determined to have a better experience of LIBS so made an effort to do research and plan ahead. Researched who was there, who was doing talks and demos and booked in for them. We went with a hit list and a shopping list and - for the first time in years - filled a whole day. I also made an effort to talk to the experts on hand which was encouraging and inspirational. we arrived at 10.45 and was there until gone 6.

Was it any good?

yes - as above! but only because I put in the effort to get the most of it. It could be made a lot easier.
