Anyone use wave forecast on windy?

I am curious if anyone out there pays any attention to wave predictions on windy, and if so, what do you take from them and in what circumstances?

It seems to me that they are of limited close off lee shores and around coastal features.

Below you can see that with similar wind prediction, ECMWF predicts 0.4m waves off Portsmouth entrance (2nd image), while GFS predicts waves of 1m (4th image). I suppose this is due to difference in resolution between the two models?

In any case, if you look closely ECMWF predicts a similar wave height within Portsmouth harbor than mid-channel, which is obviously flawed.

Does anyone find this feature useful on Windy?

I have a similar disappointment with the tidal stream feature which could be incredible if it took the actual shape of the coast fully into account.

Like this for example :)

I use it quite a lot and find it very useful provided I only use it for open sea and extrapolate myself what it might look like around headlands and channels and bays. So if I know there is a 2m swell coming directly into a harbour mouth or bay then I can make decisions, or if it’s an island then which side is more likely to be calm and whether the anchorage will be comfortable and uncomfortable.
