Anyone onboard at Suffolk Yacht Harbour 15 Mar for a DSC check?

I’ve upgraded to a bigger boat over the Winter. It came with an old DSC radio. The VHF function definitely works, but it is of a vintage that doesn’t have a DSC test function. I’m therefore looking for someone to do a DSC call at Suffolk Yacht Harbour when next at the boat on Sunday 15 March. Anybody about and willing to have a test call?

Tried them already - they said they don’t have MMSI numbers in their sets, so you can only call them on VHF

As an SRC assessor, can I encourage every one with a DSC VHF to find a buddy to practice DSC calling with? You won't believe how quick the process is rather than calling on 16, changing channel, and then starting your call....

I think most aren't familiar with DSC.

Almost every other boat I've been on, the owner isn't aware of the little flashing envelope and 300+ unread DCS messages and how to clear them. (#6 in image below).

It would be nice if Icom had a select/delete all option.
