Reading the Messolonghi post got me thinking about out winter berth. I am looking to over winter in Northern Brittany and I quite fancied Morlaix. Speaking to a French couple last night they thought that I might need to book sooner rather than later. Does anyone have an idea about a winter berth afloat or ashore in/near Morlaix this winter? Cheers. Dave

Dave we only ever booked a winter Marina in the water in advance , there seen to always been a place , NOW hard standing could be a very different story .
The only Marina I heard off that need booking is Crete , no doubt there others .
The only time we booked we ended up not going there and losing most of our deposit.

Vic. Thanks for the reassurance. That has been our experience too but the French couple got me a bit worried!!! Cheers. Dave

Morlaix is lovely place to leave he boat, the TGV goes straight to the town too which can be handy. Lots of long term boats there, so it may well be worth giving them a quick ring just to check, this is what we did and they were really helpful over the phone (in English).
