Smallish mobo 'Motley Crew too'. Partying after lockdown at Island Harbour. Somewhat understandable release of pent up emotion, but FFS not at full volume in a crowded marina until near 4 am Sunday night into Monday. I was seconds away from calling the police as it looked like things were turning really nasty in maybe an ongoing domestic. seemed like they were in company with another boat, name obscured by rib hung on stern and somebody from there stepped in about 3.50am to tell them to desist. I have never complained to management in all my boating life, glass houses and so on, but broke my duck next morning with these inconsiderate tossers. C'mon guys after midnight if not sooner, go below and party or orgy(?) quietly. Thankfully both boats left today after staying absolutely quiet all day yesterday but may be coming to a visitor berth near you, beware.............:mad:

Sounds like the Welsh Med crew , you should have gone home after the weekend, Sunday night the party starts , as we don’t work ! well we have to sign on it’s such a pain, but now we have COVID , no sign on . So we party like it’s 1999. Get a life.

We ARE home, nowhere to run and hide. Lots of visiting boats right now every day, but none as inconsiderate as this lot thankfully.
 
You do after many years boating tend to get an alert when certain types of boats and boaters hove into view and unfortunately earshot.
Moved location on the Thames a week or two ago when the warning bells starting to ring due to the arrival of the testorone soaked alcohol fuelled brigade. Usually in some sort of fast sporty tent boat that curiously tend to attract this crowd.
Noise started early afternoon and around 9.00 we upped sticks and moored out of earshot elsewhere. Seemed to be mostly young men but not a few middle aged men yet to achieve puberty.
The up side is these folks are usually new to boating and will probably be gone just as quickly to enjoy other pastimes such playing music outside you house at 04.00 before driving off with an illegal exhaust able to be heard 5 miles away.
You can sometimes hear the police siren shortly afterwards.

Moored in Ramsgate for few days last week with constant stream of comings and going 24 hours a day ,boats of all types from all over Europe.
Nothing more heard that the odd bit of muted laughter and consideration for others.

I'd never condone a rave in the parking lot Oldgit. Too many Crabby's for starters. You do realise that leisure boating is no longer the preserve of the gentlemen elite vying for social status with royalty right? And that leisure as been surpassed by pleasure boating. Nothing wrong with a party at sea and we welcome anyone even if they are wearing a freshly pressed and dry cleaned double breasted blue as they row over in their tender. Dont be shy next time ?

I'll have you know that I put on some KAD44 mufflers just so you crusty lot cant stop whingeing about my go faster gubbins. Think of it as an act of politeness.
