Anyone on the Clyde with a Raytheon ST80 depth or Multi display?

I have just acquired an ST80 triducer which I want to integrate into an existing Raymarine ST60 network. The triducer works when plugged in but the depth signal in displaying in feet. Despite changing the units in the ST60 Graphic display it changes back to feet.

Raymarine Customer service has said if I can plug it into an ST80 depth or multi display then the transducer can be told to talk in meters.

Is there anyone in the Clyde area who can help....?

Thanks in advance :)

When you "change the units" on the graphic display is that display the main one ? ie, do you have main and repeater / master and slave set up? You have to use the master device to make configuration changes stick.

The transducer has a processor which changes the analogue depth signal to the seatalk protocol, this is in feet at the moment. I have tried changing the units on the ST60 graphic, multi and E80 with no joy. Only an autohelm/raytheon ST80 depth/multi can talk to the transducer 's processor to change the output units.

Ah! now I see the meaning of the thread title... You need access to an ST80! Will the nice people at DDZ (or wherever you bought it) not take your transducer and reprogram it as part of the after-sales service? Otherwise it seems we need a boffin to write a seatalk-->USB program similar to NMEA snooper that we can all download for free.
