I need to have a boat lifted and held in the slings for a survey next week. Broker in St maxime is saying we can't do it as its a french holiday and all yards are shut.

Is there anyone who can confirm this or check with St Tropez/Grimaud re a lift next Wednesday.

Tuesday is Bastille Day, which is a national holiday, and traditionally the start of the French summer holidays. It might be that Weds is a regional holiday as well; I would have thought your best bet is just to pick up the phone (don't email, you won't get anywhere) and call the yards and ask them yourself.

Can't get hold of monaco marine, just voicemail in french.

Villanova at St Tropez are calling me back. They have hoists up to 65t and 140ft so hopefully they can squeeze us in for a lift and hold. Can't make it down myself because of work commitments so it will just be the engineer and surveyor.
