Anyone going to LIBS

Well, despite colds, flu and a country in chaos because of the weather the Kioni-ites are going to risk public transport and take the train down to LIBs tomorrow.

Wish us luck, looking forward to seeing everyone at noon at the YBW stand.

We're staying overnight at the Premier Inn, anyone else staying over?

Good to meet every one today at the YBW stand and elsewhere around the show.
I hope you all have a successful day.
I know FullCircle did.
There must be a few stand holders wondering what hit them!

Bah sorry to have missed you all. Yet more snow all day during Saturday in E.Kent although as it turns out it had thawed a huge amount by this morning.
I always enjoy those first 2 days of the Show and I'me very disappointed to have missed them.
Probably going Monday plus maybe Tuesday now.

Dick, if you could just pop into the Guinness bar and pay the bill we left you. Cheers. Burp.
It'll prbably take you 2 days to pay the bill.

Morning Folks,

Well I was there Friday. Yep sorry to those who were there and have absolutely no idea what I look like, we were probably standing at the bar together. :)

If i'm honest I thought the show was OK. Pretty quiet, which for me wasn't a problem but there wasn't alot there that surprised me or gave me a wow factor i'd not had before.

I've already posted on the Yachting forum, so sorry if i'm repeating myself. Repeating myself.

The Woodrolfe guys were friendly as ever and the Elan was very nice.. I was rather taken with an Oyster 575 (other than paying for it of course). The Moody DS was interesting. Took a while to get my head round it but after a bit of a chat could see the appeal of having all the comfy stuff 'up top'.

The Fairline stand I enjoyed. Mostly as my two friends are avid MOBO fans and was their first show so they were like kids in a toyshop. We did however, have to sit throught the Fairline Boss doing his Press shpeel about 08,09,10 figures which was like being at an old company christmas doo. :) but the hostesses were very friendly.

I should of taken a few photos as I saw a couple of boats and immediately thought of Dylan Winter and the err 'joy' he'd have seeing them. I think they were for wake boarders or something but were basically sports boats painted in 'Fast n Furious' colour schemes with big speakers bolted onto an overframe. Yes I know I'm an Essex local but it was the boat equivalent of Southend Seafront on a Saturday night.

Now I'm a huge defender of all forms of boat, power and sail, but I have to admit even I was a little umm taken aback.

So not a bad day out by all accounts but not amazing.
