I bought this when it was Imray. It was passed over to Meridian and the updates simply didn't happen as often as they should have done - new printed charts came out months ago and its only now that a new ID10 pack is available for download. I also had to update to the SeaTrak software which is much the same as the old Imray program but its exactly what I want and I like it.

However, the new ID10 update from Meridian won't install on my laptop and although it seemed to install on my desktop, the latter now crashes when I try to use it.

Anyone else got problems? I'm running Windows 7 on both machines.

Agree with Tranona. I had a similar problem which was caused by imperfect removal of the old Imray software. Nice guy at Meridien took control of my machine and cleaned it up. Give them a ring.

thanks both - for it to crash on both computers was disturbing - one i could understand. I wondewred if it was just me or whether the update exe file was a problem. i'll call them tomorrow

I had a problem and availed of their excellent service to resolve it, it turned out the old laptop could not cope with processing the gps positions, live tidal streams, set and drift etc. Just too much info being processed at once. I could get it to live navigate with the live tidal data off but decided to replace the laptop and now everything is going fine.
Imray always relied on Meridian to write and update their software they just did the marketing, they do two programs and you also have the choice of using Imray or Admiralty packages with each; no price difference, the only difference is that from last year you now just deal directly with Meridian.
I have switched to Admiralty charts this year more or less the same area covered, more large and small scale charts in the Admiralty range though switching scales can be a bit disconcerting sometimes.
