I've sailed across the Atlantic....
Several times...
About 45 years ago,

In a laser dinghy...

Well OK, I was sailing between two islands in the outer Hebrides with nothing between me to the west until Canada, ( St Kilda is out there but but not in a straight line .)

And I’ve swam* to St Kilda.

*my boat might have been used for the Harris to Village Bay anchorage leg, but I did swim ashore.

Yes and I have sailed a Mirror Dinghy in the Southern Ocean.

Well I went out from the mouth of the Murray River in South Australia until my nieces dog was barking madly and dashing into the water and I came back. I think the dog, Flashy, wanted to come with me as he thought we might go to the Antarctic and he could chase Emperor Penguins. Flashy liked sailing with me on Lake Alexandrina but he had a nasty habit of getting comfotable on the lee side of the dinghy.
