Just been watching Mark, shift a whole pontoon full of boats with his little dory.
I shouted, You look a little underpowered. He asked how long it would take to get MF's steam up. Anyway, between two little dorys, they just about managed.
However, they seem to have a new pile, about 2" out of place!!
I was going to go out this afternoon, but I got stuck into dismantling the RIB controls, with the help and advice of any passing person. Thanks to Tom, off Little Ship, who stopped to help while I drilled out some seized screws but caused injury to both of us by leaning on the tubes and tipping the entire trailer back, leaving the bow pointing skyward with me in the bilge and Tom flailing in the air.
I'd forgot I had removed the 110 litre fuel tank and front console making it somewhat stern heavy.
Injuries are a slightly pulled back and grazes to me and Tom with a small cut and a torn nail.
Mind you, the chap who helped me lift the console on Wednesday broke his wrist helping me, so we got off relatively lightly!
Anyway, thinking of trundling round to Hollyhead tomorrow, starting around 10am. Stopping a few places on the way.
Do you know the chanel has changed, but not yet the buoys. It's a bit N of no C3 G buoy, go west a bit before turning to Port. Forget no C2 R buoy and go to port of C1 G. So you pass C1 G on your Starboard side and not Port as normal.
