GK24. Got a nice pic of her from the Lymington Yarmouth ferry last weekend. Anyone know where she's kept, or even her owners? I'm sure they'd appreciate the pic more than me. And yes, I have asked on the Westerly Owners website without a positive response.

That's odd. There was a Westerley next to me in the yard last year at Dover with that name but I thought at the time it was a GK29. Either I was wrong or a strange coincidence.

Nice picture by the way - were you in a helicopter?

Just an idea Ken....

I do not know how many times I've motored up and down the Lymington River in my time but that boat looks ever so familiar. Not certain but i think she lives on one of the trot moorings in the river entrance.

Try Lymington Town Sailing club.

There was a GK29 sailing out of Sussex Yacht Club called that, but she was sold to someone in the Solent last year. Unfortunately, old owner mainly living abroad now, so difficult to check up on. I'll try and remember next time I see him!

It's a small world...

Ken....

It's a small world... I've been meaning to ask if you could forward the higher resolution pics you took of Jubilant on the way back from the Scuttlebutt cruise to Cherbourg last year (2011)...

Finding this thread - I wonder if you still have the picture of Giminy Kricket... She was my GK24 a few boats before Jubilant!

I had sold her by then though and she was then owned by a lovely family who kept her on the narrow finger pontoons in Lymington yacht haven.

Giminy Cricket

I think there was a bloke in the 80s who was a keen racer and bought his way into a new class every other year

I owned a sonata that he had owned

but there were lots of different boats with that name

Martin,

Can't track down the GK shot, probably on the HD of a retired-hurt computer.

Jubilant e-mailed.

Cheers,

Ken

Thanks for that... email received!

Now I need to track down the boat that headed slightly East of us as we left Cherbourg... I managed to get a few really good pics of them in front of a beautiful sunrise...
