Heresy by thought? I don't think anyone has actually ignored any 'guidance' yet.

I'll be keeping an eye out for boats tomorrow. Let the drama commence!

So I’m hearing here that people are prepared to act contrary to the advice of the HHA? If so, you ought to grow up and act like responsible adults.

Hang on a minute mate !

Is it not reasonable that if a person or body is stopped from doing something that
some kind of explanation as to why is given ?

Other areas are allowing sailing as have been quoted .

AFAIK , noone is saying that they will defy the guidance.

The grown up thing to do is to get the HHA to amend their guidance, not ignore it. But I suspect you already knew that.

I’m checking the Essex police Maine page on twitter ... they are currently reviewing the governments work ...
After all .. they are the ones who will potentially nick us ......

There was a kayaker or something going across the mouth of the River at Landguard. The pilot boat was coming up to it and all I could think was '....here we go' :D

It went past, no entertainment there.

So, the rivers aren't actually closed (like you said earlier), it's simply guidance ? Outdated guidance at that.
It’s the current guidance from HHA. That’s the problem with Boris he opens his gob and everyone grabs the interpretation they wish from his mixed messages. We’ve got families locked down for weeks In high rise flats , 50,000 dead and rising and we’ve got a few idiots risking confrontation and bad publicity in order to get on the water a few days early. Puerile is a polite term for this behaviour

Have you got selective reading syndrome or something?

What part of that from the latest GOVERNMENT guidance is open to interpretation? I would have thought their guidance trumps an East coast harbour authority.
