Make sure it does not come with a debt attached and make sure it has a valid, in date, Boat Safety Scheme certificate for use on inland waterways otherwise it will cost you lots of money.
If your friend , give it you , change your name to Billy.

That person clearly hates your son and his mate. Not all gifts are worth having. My son and his mate have been given this old boat currently in the water in a canal. I am curious if anyone knows the make of the boat. I am hoing to have a look at it yomorrow, I believe it has taken on some water.
is it made of wood. You do know canal boats need a safety cert also a mooring which is more expensive than Rhyl marina.
Fiberglass, I believe the mooring has been paid upto date. The hull looks solid and just needs some topcoat. No gas installed or complicated electronics. Honda 15hp has probably not been running for over 3 years.is it made of wood.
Yes, he can take the mooring over. It is in Nantwich in the Shropshire Union canal.

Is that a euphemism?I have changed my mind , the engine will poberbly run you can take it off and work on at home . Stop water coming in then your son can buy a mattress , and he and girlfriend can spend time doing it UP !!!!!
