Hi, while sorting through the bag of courtesy ensigns at the weekend, we came across one that I didn't recognise. It is a pennant with yellow blue yellow divided horizontally. Any ideas?

Donno, but it was amusing this weekend to hear #1 son (aged 4) refer to the "Bow Ensign" - Scots ensign on port crostrees - as he shouted down the companianway "Mummy! Daddy has put up two ensigns, one at the bow and one at the stern! We've got two ensigns up!" "Daddy, why have we got two ensigns?" Me:<mutters> "Once you grow up son, you can ask scuttlebutt" /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Westbere Frostbite Sailing Association, based on a lake near Canterbury. Club was founded by members of Herne Bay SC (including me), the burgee had the Herne Bay colours (blue/yellow/blue) but reversed.

- not a pennant
- not yellow blue yellow divided horizontally

A pennant with blue yellow blue divided horizontally
would be Swedish - Senior Commander Alfoat,

but no idea as to pennant with yellow blue yellow divided horizontally

'G' flag..... also means
"I require a pilot."
Also used by fishing vessels, meaning, "I am hauling nets"

Ooops! Clearly, when one tends to spend too much time horizontal, then horizontal and vertical are easy to confuse! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
