Any experience of buying gas bottle in Spain

Not Spain, but I use (domestic) Carrefour cylinders. Deposit is €5 and 13kg about per €29 refill. They do operate in Spain?
Short term, Camping gaz, but a bit eyewatering/kg of gas, plus the thumping deposit.
Dunno about needing an address in Spain?
Fill up your Calor at a petrol station?

As of a couple of months ago 13kg cylinder was 17 euro in Spain on an exchange one for one basis. Don't know if its still possible to get an individual cylinder re filled now even though it used to be common practice many moons ago...........getting it filled at a garage might be a bit clenching as I doubt an ordinary domestic cylinder has the overfill protection device fitted internally as do those cylinder designed to be refilled in such a way. That means you will need to work out (or weigh during the fill process) how much gas you can safely put in the cylinder and leave room for expansion etc......not rocket science though I reckon you'll likely sweat a bit first time round!

If you've got space then get an orange Spanish bottle the price is sort of regulated and far cheaper and more available than camping Gaz.

You can buy regulators and hoses from any ferretería or Chino.

The gas is very reasonably priced but it is difficult to purchase a bottle officially. Only residents can sign up for one and we know the same applies in France. We bought our empty Spanish 13 kg bottle in UK, then exchanged for full in Spain.

Buying privately is a far easier way.

Privately will be cheaper, but garages will also sell you a bottle without any paperwork. Unofficially of course.
