can any cruisies recommend a health/travel insurance company for people heading off into the big blue? I've looked at a few on the web, but would like to hear what you guys think.

I am looking at GH insurance at present for both yacht insurance and travel
http://www.ghinsurance.com I have had quotes for the yacht which is more expensive than pantaneous down to Gibralter and then cheaper accross the atlantic

We had a most unsatisfactory time when we lost our boat in hurricane Ivan with GH, mainly due to the underwriter, but are considering them for health/travel.

GH Insurance excellent for travel. Coughed up when faced with an emergency trip back home. Even said we weren't calaiming enough! Also, no hike in premiums for the next year's cover.

They also seem to be the only people who provide continuous trip cover at reasonable cost. Their premium £850.00 next nearest £5,000.00!

Try Lonely planet website, they have a link to a very good value company and it does cover yachties (under 65 I think)
